The golf course was opened in 1993. Roger Packard was awarded the task of designing this challenging and adventurous course. Lake View bears the hallmark of Mr. Packard in the form of copious mounds and depressions. This gives this course a unique landscape.
This is a par 72, 36-hole course. The fairways "Bermuda 419", and the greens "Tiff Torf". The course is set in the escarpments and foothills of the mountain range, which divides Thailand from Burma. The site was originally a pineapple plantation; consequently, most of the natural vegetation had been cleared away. This necessitated the transplantation of thousands of mature palms and other indigenous trees to transform the landscape into a mature vista of foliage and color. This is a course that will make the adrenaline flow. Dog legs, a few water hazards, and exceptionally well guarded Greens, provide a challenge for both the power hitter and the weekend enthusiast.
The course yardage from the blue tees is 6915 yards, white tees 6195 yards and from the red tees 5396 yards.
